Role Description

The role of a line Line Cooks to assist the chef team in all aspects of day to day operations of the culinary department. The Line Cook will maintain a high level of performance consistent with the standards set in place by the Executive Chef. Guest and owner satisfaction in our restaurants and other outlets revolves around inspired plating styles, high quality ingredients, and overall dining experience. The Line Cook is responsible for the daily preparation of food items in the pantry and other areas of the kitchen.

To be successful in this position, you must have work ethic and attention to detail that is required to consistently produce high quality culinary creations for our members and guests. You will need the motivation and drive to learn and grow in your position and be an integral member of a team that strives to be better each and every day.

General Responsibilities

  • Sets up station according to restaurant guidelines.
  • Prepares all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.
  • Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant.
  • Restocks all items as needed throughout the shift.
  • Cleans and maintains station while practicing exceptional safety, sanitation and organizational skills.
  • Has understanding and knowledge of how to properly use and maintain all equipment in the station.
  • Assists with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen, walk-in coolers and all storage areas.
  • Ability to maintain high energy and positive attitude with our guests always in mind.
  • Performs additional responsibilities as requested by the Chef, Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager at any time.
  • Professional communication skills are required.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
  • Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated and organized.
  • Commitment to quality service, and food and beverage knowledge.
  • Perform additional responsibilities and duties as assigned.

Skills/Traits

  • Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills.
  • Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.
  • Previous prep or line cook experience.
  • Food Handlers permit required.
  • Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to speak, read and understand basic cooking directions.
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
  • Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 50 pounds.
