Job description

Agilix Solutions currently has an opening for a Lighting Specialist to support our Memphis and surrounding markets. This professional will work with the sales team to increase sales in the lighting category. They will be responsible for making joint calls with the sales team, joint calls with lighting vendors, and end user calls. They will also put together lighting layouts, coordinating project related material, and conducting training on current lighting technologies. They will be responsible for day-to-day requests for bids, interaction with the sales team, lighting vendors, and end users. Relationship building, communication skills and product knowledge will be very important.

Responsibilities:

· Work in a supporting capacity with the sales team to conduct joint sales calls and end user sales calls to generate and close new lighting sales opportunities

· Develop relationships with lighting manufacturers and work with them to determine the best product for an application

· Conduct product and application training

· Provide regular updates to the sales team on segment performance

· Create competitive and professional product quotations for bids.

· Create lighting layouts for end user applications

· Manage project related materials. Some projects can have longevity of over a year in length.

· Main customer point of contact over duration of projects.

· Providing everyday customer service call and support responsibilities. In addition, this professional will support the Sales team by providing product expertise.

Required Qualifications:

· Knowledge of wholesale distribution or supply chain management

· Must possess excellent organizational skills and be able to handle multiple projects and tasks

· Good computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word

· Excellent communication skills, self-directed follow-up and a desire to succeed are required

· Must be able to show a proven history of commitment to outstanding sales and customer service

· Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree preferred; high school diploma required

· Related industry experience of two to three years minimum. Exposure to the agency bidding process, agent/company interaction, negotiation and organizational skills will be considered in lieu of a degree

Preferred Qualifications:

· Previous experience in quotation development with, lighting, or distributed equipment is preferred

· Prior expertise with blueprint take off’s to develop a bid preferred

· Lighting industry knowledge preferred

· Previous experience in Customer Service, Counter Sales or Inside Sales is preferred
