Full Time Life Coach V positions are 36 hours per week and have a starting hourly wage of $18.50/hour.

Under the direction of the Life Coach X this position is responsible for maintaining an environment in the Day and Residential programs which encourages and facilitates optimal personal development and provides person directed services and ensures the health and safety of the individuals served. The Life Coach V is responsible for the professional supervision of Life Coach I, II, and III, and overseeing delivery of services for people to achieve their desired outcomes, hopes and dreams

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
  • Assist people supported with daily tasks including bathing and personal hygiene related tasks.
  • Complete daily housekeeping tasks.
  • Attend medical appointments as necessary.
  • Promote and encourage community focused activities.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
  • Exhibits conscientiousness, dedication, self-discipline, and a sense of responsibility.
  • Functions successfully with general supervision.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative and prioritize multiple assignments with attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Ability to establish effective relationships and work in a team environment to meet team and company goals.
  • Ability to exercise discretion in handling confidential information. This includes medical, financial, and personal information of associates and persons served.
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to operate office equipment, computers, and medical equipment.
  • Works a schedule which will include evenings, weekends, and overnight hours.
  • Works a flexible schedule agreed upon with management.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Associate Degree with 2 years’ experience or High school diploma with 3 years’ experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • CPR/First Aid/AED instruction and SCIP Certification within the first six months of hire
  • Medication Administration Certification for Residential and site-based programs
  • Must ensure implementation of Resident Advocate duties.
  • Must demonstrate and role model the code of ethics along with professionalism, effective teamwork and empathy.
  • Must be excellent in verbal and written communication.
SALARY: $18.50/hour
