Job Description

Phelan Insurance is seeking a full-time Life & Employee Benefits Quality Control Agent to join our team of dedicated insurance professionals.

Primarily provides processing assistance and support to Account Managers and other Agency personnel. Performs various other administrative functions including the preparation of letters, reports and other correspondence as needed.

Salary Range: $40000.00 - $55000.00 per year

Responsibilities

1. Review and process enrollment changes with carriers (new hires, termination, qualifying events, etc.)

2. Contact employer, employees, carrier as necessary for information

3. Manage all aspects of online enrollment platform including build and monitor all changes for processing with carriers

4. Renew/Update policies in Agency management systems (Benefitpoint, ImageRight)

5. Prepare/Update benefit booklets for clients

6. Assist in preparation of proposals for new business and renewal

7. Marketing of new and renewal business

8. Assist with reporting and compliance requirements

9. Assist with carrier implementation

10. Assist with claims research and benefit questions as needed

12. Perform other duties as needed

Requirements

Individuals with an insurance or customer service background are encouraged to apply. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence are key requirements. Insurance experience required. Excellent computer skills are required, along with a strong knowledge of Agency hardware and software applications.
