Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a highly-skilled and compassionate LPN to deliver exceptional patient care in our surgical care unit. In this role you will provide direct nursing care to your adult patients who are acutely ill and recovering from a wide variety of surgical medical and post-surgical conditions. • As a licensed practical nurse you will work closely with the clinical team to deliver patient-centered care and participate in patient and family education.
• Along with a multidisciplinary team of nurses, providers, and therapists (physical, occupational, speech), and patient care support staff, you will create and implement a care plan to meet each patient’s needs.
• Utilizing computerized documentation systems, you will monitor, record and communicate patient conditions as appropriate.

• As a part of The Rehab Center team, you will coordinate patient discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
• When dealing with patients, visitors, co-workers and other customers, you will maintain cultural and diversity awareness, and much more.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Program of Practical Nursing.
• Current LPN License in Virginia.
• 1 year of rehab nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
• Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) Certification.
