The role of the Leasing Consultant is to assure that the company’s interests are met in terms of occupancy rate, renewals, prospects, and positive resident relations. The Leasing Consultant has a direct, positive influence on prospects and residents in their desire to rent or renew with the community. This role requires the ability to fully embrace the company culture. Compensation:

$25 - $28 hourly

Responsibilities:
  • Negotiate leasing terms and conditions and close the deal
  • Confirm rental application data and personal references to ensure accuracy
  • Research local rental rates and calculate costs to determine fair and competitive pricing
  • Advertise available properties using a variety of media and promotional materials to help secure quick rentals of all properties

  • Greet prospects and qualify by covering all criteria (ask questions; utilize completed guest cards,etc.)
  • Strong sales-related background
  • Verifying applicants and notifying applicants of approval or denial
  • Monitor advertising effectiveness
  • Gather information about market competition in the area and file
  • Contribute to cleanliness and curb appeal of the community on a continuing basis

Qualifications:
  • A valid Real Estate License is required for this job
  • Past sales experience is preferred
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Working knowledge of real estate law and leasing practices
  • Ability to use computer programs such as Microsoft Office, Excel and Publisher

  • Must possess a positive attitude and the ability to smile under all circumstances
  • Neat, clean, and professional at all times throughout the workday and/or whenever present in the community
  • Operate telephone, personal computer/keyboard, Google Suite
  • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate the ability to diffuse and respond to customer concerns to avoid escalation of the problem
