The Dupps Company in Ankeny is looking for a Lean Engineer.
Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
- Connecting the voice of the customer (VOC) to the targets to improve (TTI) and leader standard work (LSW)
- Engages in breakthrough initiatives such as transformation rhythms, shop strategy reviews, and cell control centers (CCC) and the plant control center (PCC)
- Supports the continuous improvement of key process indicators (KPI) and the sustainment of standard work process improvements – both transactional and non-transactional
- Works on complex solutions and implements new solutions utilizing both Lean and technology
- Defines processes, IT tools, trainings, systems, etc. to be used by the manufacturing community
- Specifies needs, communicates about project approach and presents outcomes of research done
- Coach, mentor, and train others in all Lean Six Sigma DMAIC concepts and tools
Qualifications for this position:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering from an accredited university or college
- Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience in Production Process and Equipment
- Experience with Lean Transformation & Lean Tools
- Experience with Lean deployment and driving changes in production shop floor through strategic projects
- Six Sigma / Lean Green Belt or Black Belt Certification preferred
- Ability to travel between plants up to 25% of the time
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
