This leadership role manages all aspects of assigned aircraft projects including coordinating necessary resources, documentation, and communication with the appropriate personnel, including customers, to ensure timeliness and quality maintenance for delivery of the assigned aircraft projects. Education and Experience:

  • Eight years plus of aviation related experience required
  • One year plus of previous project lead experience required
  • High school graduate or equivalency degree required
  • Associate or Bachelor Degree preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of FARs 43, 65, 91, 135, 145.
  • Quality System Management preferred

Licenses:

  • Airframe and Power plant Certificate required

  • Ability to attain & retain AOA badge or Airport requirements

  • FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) preferred

  • Must obtain & retain designation as an Elliott Aviation Production Inspector (Blue stamp)

Essential Job Functions:

  • Lead assigned Technicians on all aspects of assigned aircraft projects to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency throughout all phases of the projects. Accept full ownership of all assigned projects from pre-planning to delivery. Complete required planning, prioritizing, and communicating with customers, company personnel, Original Equipment Manufactures', outside contractors and vendors. Ensure the safety and security of customer's aircraft, equipment, and parts during all maintenance phases.
  • Lead projects by scheduling and assigning work for team members and monitoring day-to-day activities of team members for compliance and quality performance. Holds team members accountable to Elliott Aviation approved policies and procedures including aspects of professionalism, safety, and cleanliness of the work environment. Ensure the team's consistent use, control and compliance to appropriate approved technical data from authorized engineering sources, FAA approved documentation and original equipment aircraft manufacturers' maintenance & compliance documentation.
  • Oversee, complete, and maintain accurate & timely aircraft and project documentation. This documentation includes review of preliminary reports to ensure accuracy of project forecasting, billed labor hours, review of work orders and invoices, work order discrepancy listing and documentation, etc., to ensure timely and accurate entries, inventory allocation, appropriate sign-off language, and accurate charges for labor and outside services.
  • Inspect, service, repair, and troubleshoot aircraft systems utilizing the Elliott Aviation approved procedures, policies, FAA approved Quality Control and Repair Station Manual, and the appropriate Original Equipment Manufacturers' Maintenance Manuals.
  • Support, maintain, and comply with all Federal, OSHA, State, local regulations and Elliott Aviation's Environmental, Health, and Safety Policies and Processes.
