RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintains a safe working environment through the adherence of established Hormel safety polices.
• Supervises and trains production supervisors to assure the production of products/services meets daily production schedules.
• Develops short-term and long-range production plan schedules to meet the needs of sales and assures the ordering of raw materials and/or supplies required for scheduling production in his/her assigned area.
• Assures the production of products/services meets quality objectives.
• Achieves labor efficiency and utilization objectives, standard yield objectives, safety objectives, production cost objectives, and sanitation/housekeeping objectives.
• Assures HACCP and other food safety initiatives are implemented to Hormel & USDA expectations.
• Provides vacation relief for Supervisors and Superintendents (10%).
• Performs project work as assigned by Superintendent (25%).

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

• A bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant industry experience.
• Proven track record of results in plant supervision.
• A pattern of initiative and leadership.
• Strong problem-solving, decision making, and project management skills.
• Highly developed interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States
• Applicants must not now, or in the future, require sponsorship for an employment visa.

Preferred

• Canning experience in a manufacturing facility
