Our Dewberry Pennsylvania offices (your choice of which office will be homebase)are looking for a Eastern Pennslyvania Transportation Lead to serve the vital function of positioning the company as the leader in the transportation and highway market. We are looking to increase the visibility of our experienced transportation and highway group in Eastern and Central PA. The team player will successed with past experience working on PennDOT and/or PA Turnpike Commission projects. The candidate will be responsible for supervising staff and document production, monitoring budgets and schedules, marketing new projects, preparing proposals, and interfacing regularly with clients. Project Design and Project Management consulting experience, in-depth background in the design of highways and roads, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required. Candidates must have the ability to market and sell services, lead and manage engineering staff on multiple projects, and be profit and growth oriented. The ability to manage and supervise design teams and interact well with client management teams is essential. A strong understanding of MicroStation and InRoads/OpenRoads is required. Experience with other software utilized in the design of highways is a plus.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervises all staff necessary to complete assignments.
  • Reviews and approves scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments.
  • Prepares proposals to provide professional services.
Required Skills & Required Experience:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. Masters is preferred
  • Registered Professional Engineer in PA
  • 10+ years of experience in highway design
  • experience should include;
    • Horizontal and vertical alignments
    • Drainage design
    • Erosion and sediment pollution control design
    • Stormwater management design
    • Pavement design
    • Traffic engineering
    • Strong understanding of MicroStation and InRoads/OpenRoads
  • Must have a valid drivers license and clean driving record
