This position demonstrated exemplary teamwork, service, and overall knowledge of the BHSF revenue cycle from a patient access perspective. This position is for those individuals who will serve as a preceptor for new hires. Demonstrates service excellence and positive interpersonal skills in dealing with others including patients of all ages, families, employees, medical staff, volunteers and community members to maximize communication and productivity. Interacts and works cooperatively with patients of all ages and ancillary departments to assure patient satisfaction. This position may require deployment of legal, ethical and compliance related documents that must be presented and thoroughly explained to the patient at the time of registration. The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining knowledge and deployment of practices used within the department as well as throughout the hospital to address patient questions or concerns. Serves as a registration resource and takes on leadership role in the absence of a Manager/Supervisor.

Estimated pay range for this position is $16.36 - $19.80 / hour depending on experience.

Qualifications:


Degrees: High School,Cert,GED,Trn,Exper Additional Qualifications: A minimum of one year as a Patient Financial Representative. Experience in Microsoft Office products. Must meet BH registration accuracy and productivity standards for at least the most recent 3 months. Excellent interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written). Excellent customer service skills. Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced work environment. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. Desired: Knowledge of Health Care regulatory guidelines to include but not limited to HIPAA, AHCA, EMTALA, Sarbanes-Oxley, etc. Knowledge of insurance contracts, collections, authorizations, and pre-certification. Ability to work weekends when necessary. Extensive knowledge of Medical Terminology. Bilingual (English/Spanish). Minimum Required Experience: 1 Year
