The Lead Janitor is a key position and partner to the maintenance manager, janitorial team and to the customers and employees at RLWS. This is a working lead position, where contributing and working side by side with team members is critical. This candidate will learn all janitorial responsibilities, help manage processes, create checklists, appropriately delegate assignments, and coach team members to meet and exceed high levels of cleanliness and customer service expectations. This person will be involved in hiring processes, and will communicate, lead, train and develop the janitorial team.
Duties may Include; dumping waste baskets, removing cardboard to baler, sweeping and mopping floors, clean sinks and bathrooms, filling supplies, wash windows and other janitorial duties. Ensure that the facility is clean including work areas, machines, rest rooms, lunchrooms, offices and other areas. The lead may do some light maintenance projects and inspects assignments of the team and suggests areas for improvements where applicable. This candidate will work core hours of 2:30pm-11pm, but may work additional or varied hours based on customer and business needs.
