LEAD ENGINEER

Performs a variety of maintenance and engineering duties for the Facilities Management Department. Assigned to work for the Director of Facilities or Facilities Management Staff on a regular basis. May be called upon to work on projects, teach trade skills to members of the department, and monitor outside vendors and report discrepancies. Coordinates work to ensure that work orders and preventative maintenance work are implemented and corrected in a timely and cost-effective manner. The Lead Engineer is proficient in at least one maintenance trade with general working knowledge of all areas of maintenance and repair. The Lead Engineer will be able to work independently to analyze and correct problems, determine manpower, material needs, and deadlines for jobs or projects. This position performs other general maintenance responsibilities not directly related to designated or licensed trade and works independently.

Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
Trade School : in a plumbing, electrical or HVAC program (Preferred)

Experience
3 Years experience in hospital or industrial maintenance (Required)

License/Certifications
HVAC - HVAC Universal Certification (Preferred) or LMP - Licensed Master Plumber (Preferred) or LIC-ELEC - PA Licensed Electrician (Preferred)
