We are currently recruiting for a Lead Database Technician to join our Manufacturing Test Engineering team!

Position Summary

The Lead Database Technician – responsible for all aspects of design, installation, testing, monitoring, maintenance, and reporting of manufacturing production performance data. Develop and implement policies regarding data integrity, archiving, redundancies, and disaster recovery. Support all company metrics regarding safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Install, monitor, and maintain all manufacturing production performance databases
Upgrade database applications and management systems as required
Develop, implement, and verify database policies and procedures to ensure integrity and availability
Create new database users as required
Support customization requests to deliver needed data to all stakeholders
Manage and support third party software integrations
Create and support manufacturing production data dash boards (real-time status reporting)
Support company safety, quality, reliability, cycle time, productivity, and on-time delivery objectives
Work to all relevant ISO and quality procedures

Must Haves:

Five years or more manufacturing experience
Five years or more of database design and maintenance experience
Five years or more tools experience (computers, printers, scanners, web cameras, etc.)
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Five years or more experience supporting database software (SQL, Access, Excel, etc.)

AS in Electrical Engineering preferred
Experience in Lean concepts

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to mentor others
Strong verbal and written communication skills along with strong technical skills to develop and report metrics of all manufacturing processes
Strong project planning/management skills
