Position Description
Assists Call Center Supervisor and Manager with daily operations, in addition to normal scheduling duties. Duties include guiding and mentoring new/existing staff with daily work, monitoring quality assurance and productivity reports, managing updated protocols and orientation of new employees. Ensures referrals for services are routed, verified and completed accurately and appropriately. Must adhere to all functions of the Centralized Scheduling Specialist. This is an essential position requiring attendance during inclement weather.
Position Requirements
High School Diploma or GED and 2 years or more of experience in medical scheduling. Skills required: Excellent customer service skills. Strong demonstrable communication skills. Strong computer/data entry skills. High volume telephone. MS Excel/Word.
Preferred Requirements
Associates Degree. 3 years or more of experience in AU Centralized Scheduling Specialist position. Experience in hospital/medical office setting. Medical terminology. HFMA, NAHAM, AAHAM, CPC or equivalent certification.
