Impact Housing (IH) is a Southern California, mission-driven company that designs and develops. builds, and activates unsubsidized housing for low- and moderate-income households. Utilizing the efficiencies of off-site construction and modular design, IH is rapidly growing and developing workforce housing in San Diego and Los Angeles. IH’s architecture company, iDnA, is recruiting Level III Architectural Staff, Senior Designers, and Senior Architects, for the design and implementation of projects.
POSITION SUMMARY
Working with IH’s multi-disciplinary development, manufacturing, and construction team, Level III architectural staff participate in conceptual design and provide full support for the production of the onsite- and offsite-architectural components of multi-family and mixed-use modular projects. They typically have eight or more years of architectural experience and have developed expertise in one or more aspects of architecture such as the use of building and/or zoning codes, architectural production and detailing, conceptual architectural design, and/or quality control. They work closely with Project Managers and leadership and represent the lead technical viewpoint on one or more projects. They also provide day-to-day oversight of, and technical and visualization guidance to, less experienced architectural staff. IH’s design leadership team supports and mentors their professional development.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Years of Experience:- 8 or more years of experience in multi-family residential architecture or equal using Revit or equal as well as other software utilized for the architectural design of projects
- Education: first professional degree required
- Certification(s): licensed architect or interest in working towards, licensure
- Key Skills:
- Visualizer: competence as evidenced by the quality of individual and team work on previous projects
- Team Player: contributor to all aspects of architectural tasks and open to input from others
- Self-starter: able to manage and document work and schedule towards completion of tasks and projects
- Communicator: of design concepts, work, and tasks in both written and visual formats
Responsibilities:
- Working with Project Managers, design and construction teams, consultants, and leadership with day-to-day concept design, schematic design, design development, construction documents, detailing, plan check, and construction administration responsibilities for one to two multi-family and mixed-use residential over podium factory-built projects
