Sunny Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is looking for a Laundry Aide!

Position: Laundry Aide

Maintains the laundry equipment and work area and performs generallaundry duties according to established rules, policies, and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS: Some laundry experience is desirable, but not necessary. Must be able toperform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. Must be able and willing to work with other staff, accept instruction from supervisors and communicate appropriately with residents, visitors and staff. Must qualify for employment, after a criminal background check, per guidelines of the Wisconsin Department of Human Services.

RESPONSIBILITY: To Ensure Clean Linens and Clothing for Residents, Staff and Visitors Use

• Standard precautions will be utilized.
• Sort linens as directed, wearing protective clothing and gloves as directed per facility policy.
• Be aware of linens that may be stained, or in need of repair and treat as directed.
• Transfer linens from washers to dryers, recognizing and separating articles that cannot be dried.
• Folds clean linens as directed, using care to not cross contaminate soiled and clean linens.
• Hangs and sorts personal clothing as directed.
• Stacks linens according to departments.
• Puts linens on carts and distributes to departments according to predetermined needs.
• Reports linen needs to supervisor.
• May perform other duties as directed by supervisor.
