Overview:
Under direction of the Resource & Recovery Manager, the Lab Gas Coordinator (Coordinator Service II) is responsible for lab gas deliveries, pickup, and data entry to track lab gas cylinders around campus. The employee will build relationships with those around campus to provide excellent customer service and help fulfill their needs with Lab Gas. They work as a member of the Resource and Recovery team and will help other areas of the department to accomplish goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Delivers lab gases to various labs and locations around campus in a timely manner.
  • Enters data into an Access Database and works with business office for the proper billing of lab gas expenses.
  • Maintains/Organizes receipts and other lab gas records.
  • Performs routine lab gas cylinder audits across campus.
  • Builds productive relationships with on-campus customers as well as lab gas companies.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 2 years of related work experience
  • Productive worker with solid work ethic
  • Willingness to obtain class B CDL
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Able to obtain Forklift certification within 6 months of hire
  • Class B CDL
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of safety, loading, and maintenance procedures
  • Knowledge of department policies and procedures
  • Skill in organizing and coordinating mulitple projects
  • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing
  • Ability to apply mathematical skills
  • Ability to organize work flow to produce the most efficient productivity
  • Ability to interact and communicate well with co-workers, campus customers, and the public
  • Ability to prioritize work and accomplish tasks

Advertised Salary: Commensurate with experience, plus excellent benefits ADA:
Extensive physical activity. Must have sufficient strength to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position including heavy lifting (approximately 65 lbs). Work environment includes confined or narrow spaces, and requires assuming uncomfortable positions such as crawling, kneeling, squatting, etc. Work environment requires following safety precautions.
