Our seasonal summer staff are adventurous, innovative, and creative individuals who have a passion for creating a space for campers and adults to be their authentic selves, trying new activities and making life-long friendships and connections.

This position assists the Kitchen Director and Assistant Director with the overall operation of the camp kitchen including preparing meals and daily kitchen clean-up, keeping inventory of supplies, and other duties as directed. This is a live-on-site position for the duration of the scheduled work-week. Staff may stay on site over the weekends. Reasonable accommodations may be made for the ideal candidate.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participate in preparing, cooking, and serving 3 meals and 2 snacks per day.
  • Work with the kitchen team to ensure all meals are provided at the scheduled times.
  • Keep all storage areas clean, organized and ensure all food items are dated appropriately.
  • Assist in keeping accurate records for temperature charts, inventories of supplies and food products, etc.
  • Assist in keeping all kitchen areas clean and sanitary.
  • Work with the kitchen team to ensure all dietary needs for campers and staff with allergies/restrictions are met.
  • Work with unit staff to provide food for unit cookouts.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Be at least 18 years of age by the start date.
  • Hold or willing to obtain current Red Cross First Aid & CPR certifications or the equivalent.
  • Hold or willing to obtain a current Utah Food Handler’s Permit.
