POSITION OBJECTIVE: Supervise all staff and functions, as assigned, related to the Licensure and support of Level 1 foster homes, and diligent search activities for children in the custody of the Department of Children and Families (DCF) Northwest Florida Health Network (NWFHN). Ensure timely licensure of families and necessary support is provided as well as maintain data integrity.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS MAY INCLUDE:

• Provide daily supervision and assessment of assigned staff who may include: Licensing Specialists, Kinship Navigators and Diligent Search Specialists in Circuit Review and approve initial and re-licensure level 1 home studies.
• Review and approve all required documents for licensure including attestation documentation
• Ensure proper documentation of all activities in Florida Safe Families Network (FSFN) within 48 hours of activity by staff.
• Conduct team meetings and individual supervision on monthly and/or quarterly basis.
• Provide assistance and training to staff on the technical requirements of level 1 licensure
• Develop clear procedures for the level 1 licensing from intake to re-licensure
• Develop and oversee a structured process for engaging families as a part of the Kinship Navigator program.
• Mentor staff to develop and facilitate foster parent support activities (i.e. support groups, foster parent association meetings and training events) and attend activities as necessary
• Maintain good working relationship with DCF, Case Management Organizations and Children’s Legal Services leadership
• Develop written materials for the level 1 licensure program
• Conduct community outreach as needed
• Exhibit expertise in licensing, Florida Administrative Code requirements and Children and Family operating procedures
• Participate in the quality improvement process
• Demonstrate problem-solving and teamwork.

PREFERRED:

● Multiple forms of child welfare or child welfare related experience

● Prior experience with foster home licensing

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $52,500.00 per year
