Job description
We are looking for a Private, Part time Math, English and Science K-8 tutor to help with in person learning for our kids
We would like our tutor to be responsible for helping the our kids learn and understand new concepts and complete assignments. They should prepare lessons by studying lesson plans, reviewing textbooks in detail to understand the topic they will be teaching and providing additional projects if needed during a session.
Ultimately, you will work directly and in person with the students, to assist them in gaining a better understanding of concepts taught in the classroom, such as English, Math, Science You may also communicate with parents to track progress.
Requirements and skills
- Proven work experience as a Tutor or similar role
- Patient, flexible, positive, consistent, dependable and cooperative with a sense of humor
- Ability to take supervision and correction constructively
- Ability to positively supervise students
- Educational Background as a Teacher or Substitute Teacher
- Transportation to residence in Harwood Heights, IL
- Advance studying, Advanced Learning
- Compensation is $40 per hour
We ask that you have availability 5-7 days a week. 3 hours after school.
