User Researcher (Associate)

Come and join our growing team! We are looking for a User Researcher who wants to expand their practice, working in an agile way and supporting innovation within the charity. You'll be supported by two other researchers and your work will help us develop products and services to meet the needs of children, young people and families across a wide range of Barnardo's services and functions.

Job Purpose:

As a User Researcher (Associate), you will help to plan, deliver, and analyse research so that teams are working off robust evidence about how our products, services and processes need to be designed.

You will be responsible for making sure researchers in the team are well supported with tools and processes for conducting this valuable research with care.

You will be actively involved in making sure that research outputs have maximum impact and are shared with the right audiences in the best ways. You will be an integral part of the research function, which is a core part of the team, making sure our practices are ethical and compliant with high quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Champion ethical research, and ensure users are always placed at the centre of the team's work.
• Plan and carry out user research activities for a product or service.
• Manage and contribute to the insight's library of user research, curating research information to build a knowledge base which can be leveraged in future.
• Ensure research tools and processes are clear and used well in practice.
• Bring insights and learnings to life for colleagues in the most appropriate ways.

• Support others to carry out research by providing administrative support and proactively working to make our processes and tools as efficient as possible.
