Entry Level Electrical Engineer Responsibilities*:

• Design of electrical power distribution systems, including medium and low-voltage power distribution.
• Projects involve the design of service entrance switchgear and switchboards, transformers, emergency generators and paralleling systems, uninterruptible power systems, variable frequency drive applications and harmonics mitigation, electric car charging stations, photo-voltaic system integration, and specialized equipment for laboratories and medical facilities.
• Design of fire alarm systems.
• Perform 3D modeling with Revit and 2D drafting with AutoCAD to create construction documents.
• Visit project sites throughout the design and construction processes to assess existing facilities and ongoing construction.
• Coordinate with other trades for the successful construction of projects.
• Design modern lighting systems for efficient and aesthetically pleasing facilities.
• Perform lighting calculations with software such as Agi32 and Visual.
• Perform short circuit studies, arc flash calculations, and voltage drop calculations with software such as SKM Power Tools.
• Analysis of power system load characteristics taken from field data to provide recommendations for improving power systems reliability and determining existing demand loads.
