Position Overview:

Jefferson Solutions, a well-respected government consulting company of the Jefferson Consulting Group, woman-owned small business, is looking for a Junior Contract Specialist. In this position, you will provide the full range of acquisition services. This position will be fully remote.

Responsibilities:

  • Support senior specialists in providing direct acquisition and procurement support on all procurements and acquisitions from inception through award providing high quality critical thinking and analysis, and technical writing support in drafting of the following:
    • Acquisition Strategy
    • Acquisition Plans
    • Market Research Analysis
    • Determination & Findings
    • Justification for Approvals
    • Independent Government Cost Estimates
    • Requirements documents (Statement of Work, Performance Work Statement, Statement of Objectives, and Statement of Requirements)
    • Quality Assurance Surveillance Plans, as necessary
    • Limited Source Justifications (e.g., JOFOC, SSJ, etc.), Evaluation Factors, Requirements Documents (e.g., SOW, PWS, SOO),
    • Technical Evaluations, Proposals/Quotes
    • Other supporting documents
  • Receive and act upon assignment of Purchase Requests (PRs)/Requisitions
  • Participate in Acquisition Integrated Project Teams
  • Coordinate and attend meeting with government stakeholders
  • Provide research support
  • Post solicitations, such as RFIs and RFQs to eBuy and notices, solicitations, justifications, intent to award on SAM.gov
  • Update and maintain accurate and complete electronic Contract Files
  • Upload contract files
  • Draft procurement summaries, bid abstracts, solicitations, synopses, contract awards
  • Communicate via email/phone directly with agency customers, staff, contractors and prospective vendors
  • Distribute awards directly to CORs and vendors and uploading as required by the contracting officer
  • Assist in documenting and maintaining procedures
  • Assist CO/CORs with timely contract close-out support

Experience and Prior Accomplishments

  • One or more years of federal acquisition related experience

Education and Certifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree, required
  • Public Trust, ability to obtain one, required
  • Level I or greater FAC-C or DAWIA, preferred#zr
