Woodruff Arts Center employees play an integral role in creating and supporting great art and education initiatives at the nation’s third largest arts center. The responsibilities of the Support Analyst include providing technical assistance to customers regarding various endpoint hardware and software applications. Their main duties include troubleshooting and diagnosing different technical issues, assessing and understanding user needs and issues and recommending technical fixes to customers. The right personality, is an independent problem solver with a strong, positive attitude. The ability to learn and implement new technologies is paramount.
Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 9 am-5 pm with after hours on-call rotation duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
  • Act as the initial point of contact for all computer and system related concerns
  • Answer user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operation to resolve problems.
  • Assist resolving hardware and network connectivity issues.
  • Monitor and manages ticket queues, responds and assigns tickets to appropriate internal and external support staff when needed. Also escalate tickets when required.
  • Set up new equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation operating systems images and required software.
  • Installs and performs minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications.
  • Trains and guides new staff on hardware and software usage policies.
  • Work with security staff to install and ensure that cyber-security software and policies are understood and enforced.
  • Able to work as part of a team, as well as independently.
  • Experience providing professional and courteous customer service
Qualifications:
  • 1+ years' experience troubleshooting user account issues.
  • 1+ years' experience working with O365 to support users in the user context, mainly covering Office and Outlook.
  • 1+ years' experience installing, troubleshooting, and updating current Mac OS and Windows 10.
  • Able to work in a team as well as independently
  • Experienced in providing professional and courteous customer service
  • Earger to learn and grow knowledge and career
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED, preferably an associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or a related field.
  • Has ot has the ability to obtain a Microsoft, Apple and CompTIA certifications are a plus
Skills and Abilities:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Team player with the ability to be comfortable.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a demanding and fast-pace environment.
  • Proficiency in typical computer applications, including MS Office.
  • Ability to learn quickly.
