Position Summary:

Bituminous Roadways, Inc. is seeking an entry-level IT Specialist to address day-to-day IT needs for office, plant and field personnel. The candidate s primary responsibility will be to maintain employee productivity by resolving IT issues, and when necessary escalating issues to the Company s IS Technology Manager or third-party IT Managed Services firm. The ideal candidate will have help desk experience in a mobile workforce environment and have versatile skills to apply across departments/projects.

This is a full-time / in-office position located at our main office in Mendota Heights, MN.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage our mobile technology platforms by ensuring employees have properly updated devices that have been configured with our approved applications and resolving mobile issues.
• Assist in the acquisition of employee computer devices and configure those devices for use in accordance with Company policies and protocols. Maintain optimal equipment inventory and respond to employee requests as needed.
• Serve as a point of contact on technology support questions from our employees. Perform an analysis of the issue and work to resolve the situation through your own efforts, with the assistance of our IS Technology Manager, and/or by engaging with the Company s third-party technology partners.
• Assist in technical issues at the company s asphalt plants and travel on-site as needed (all within the metro area).
• Document common technology issues and develop proactive solutions to reduce or eliminate recurring problems. Provide training to end users as needed so that they can grow their skills and better communicate issues they are having.
• Assist in development and maintenance of the SharePoint platform.
• Contribute as requested in software development and integration initiatives.

Preferred Experience/Education:

• Minimum of Associate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related Field of Study
• Two plus years of experience providing technical support in a business environment
• Thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and Microsoft Office Suite applications

• Ability to communicate technical information to a wide range of end users
• Ability to work independently and within a team setting
• Flexible in work schedule to accommodate business needs
