We are currently seeking an experienced:

IS SERVICE DESK MANAGER

Full Time, Days

Job Summary:

  • Review tickets to understand trends and dependencies
  • Review satisfaction surveys and follow up with end-users as needed
  • Build and review reports to gain insight into problematic workflows and optimize service desk performance.
  • Supervises two or more full-time or part-time staff to include prioritizing and assigning work; conducting performance evaluations; ensuring staff is trained; and making hiring, termination, and disciplinary recommendations.
  • Supervises software installation and modification to include evaluating new software and upgrades and installing when appropriate; troubleshooting and repairing software issues; and modifying existing systems to meet changing needs.
  • Advises other departments on technology issues by recommending applications to improve business processes.
  • Formulates and implements computer and support policies.
  • Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and resolves system, hardware, and software problems to include, if necessary, arranging for outside vendor assistance.
  • Creates, and maintains department support documentation and knowledgebase
  • Develops and monitors reporting on key performance metrics for the support teams to ensure high quality work is being delivered
  • In partnership with the other organization leadership, establish and enforce performance standards around response time, closure time, and customer satisfaction
  • Design, develop, and implement policies and procedures
  • Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
  • Performs work during emergency/disaster situations.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, or a related field and four years of progressively responsible computer experience related to the area of assignment or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential duties of the job.
  • Valid NC Driver’s License.
  • One or more directly applicable professional certifications, such as Comptia A+, Comptia Network+, or similar certification a plus; ITIL Foundation.
