Choice Pet Products is conducting a search for an Inventory Management Analyst who will develop and implement distribution strategies to support sales, inventory, and margin objectives and to ensure financial goals are met. Partner with marketing to execute promotions and category strategies to support financial plans. Build, develop and maintain allocation strategies to ensure maximum sell through and profitability in all categories minimizing mark down of products. Inventory Management Analysts will review, analyze, and determine the appropriate inventory purchasing level based on historical and forecasted data.

Key Activities/Tasks:

· Analyze sales trends and promotional activity to ensure stock on core items and advertised merchandise

· Analyze sku and program productivity to ensure goals are met; develop tiered assortment strategies

· Review inventory positions and sales for each brand; evaluate stock position and take action as needed.

· Develop knowledge of geographic and customer attribute performance and trends through qualitative and quantitative analysis, and drive results by presenting knowledge to the sales team

· Possess an advanced knowledge of Inventory Management

Role and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

· Maximizing turns, in-stock levels and minimize spoilage

· Setting forecasts for existing and new items

· Working with suppliers to set-up ordering programs

· Tracking and reporting order ETA’s and helping to ensure that suppliers ship and deliver purchase orders on time

· Assisting in cubing out import containers and helping to set proper order mins

· Monitor aging inventory and work with necessary stake holders to maximize turns

· Anticipate needs of merchandise that will be advertised or special buy opportunities

· Assist the vendor manager with product line reviews to help determine projections and load in quantities

· Ensure accuracy on purchase orders

· Maintaining accurate inventory across multiple programs

· Ensuring proper status of SKUs: active vs. discontinued, seasonal, good deal & hierarchy placement

· Setting up automatic replenishment and proficient with demand chain management

· Communicating with the proper stake holders when problems/issues are found that need attention

· Report and evaluate sales dollars, margin dollars and unit sales

· Maintain demand planning data and models, ensuring data cleanliness and monitoring forecast errors

· Communicating with vendor partners to ensure ordering programs are functioning smoothly

· Assisting the vendor manager/buyer to maximize sales and margin dollars

· Issuing PO’s

· Reporting to various internal and external customers

Must be able to:

· Able to understand Inventory Management strategies, how to execute them and how they impact the supply chain.

· Able to organize and prioritize; demonstrates logical analysis, problem solving skills and accuracy in forecasting and all other work.

· Demonstrates good listening, written and oral communication skills, effectively and clearly communicates reflecting an appropriate sense of urgency.

· Able to Influence cross-functional counterparts

· Able to build and maintain productive relationships with cross-functional teams.

· Ability to deliver strong and thorough presentations of strategies and analysis.

· Other assigned duties as needed for the company to be successful

Required

· Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field such as Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Finance, and or Mathematics OR an associate degree in business

· Advanced knowledge and skill of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

· Excellent communication and organizational skills, Analytical skill and manage multiple projects and deadlines

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
