Join our team! Laredo Medical Center's (LMC) Material Management Team is now hiring an Inventory Coordinator to work in our patient care units at LMC's 326 bed acute care hospital. Ensures adequate inventory of materials and products in accordance with inventory cycles and organizational philosophy. Responsible for maintaining the computerized inventory system in a timely manner to ensure that inventory assets accounts are managed as cost effectively as possible. Serves as administrator of the hospital's Pyxis system, responsible for maintaining the functionality and integrity of the automated supply distribution system. Conducts daily inventory analysis to solve inventory problems. Develops and implements inventory control procedures. Coordinates and manages daily physical cycle counts. May train and manages an inventory team. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.

Job Requirements Below:

Education:

Preferred: Two (2) year business degree.

Preferred: College coursework with emphasis on business education or technical knowledge of inventory management highly desirable.

Experience:

Required: Three (3) to five (5) years in healthcare or experience with inventory control processes may be substituted in lieu of formal training or education.

Required: Computer Literate, highly motivated, self starter, and quality oriented.

Preferred: Good knowledge of medical surgical supplies

Licenses/Certificates:

Required: Must have valid Texas driver's license.
