Position Summary:

As an integral part of the Internal Evaluation Program (IEP) team, conduct safety assurance audits to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and federal regulations. Function as the subject matter expert on the company safety audit processes.


Responsibilities:

  • Works in a cooperative spirit with company departmental personnel to ensure the success of company safety and compliance goals
  • Assist in developing, scheduling, and performing audits and evaluations in accordance with the IEP policies and procedures
  • Compiles and analyzes audit and evaluation findings for causal factors and root cause identification
  • Reporting findings related to audits, and evaluations
  • Recommends corrective actions pursuant to findings
  • Tracks corrective actions to completion
  • Maintains a database of audit materials, checklists, findings, root causes, corrective actions, and analysis
  • Assist in preparing reports for the Manager of Safety, Director of Safety (DOS}, and senior management
  • Identifies and documents safety assurance nonconformities
  • Input and manage audit data via a computing system
  • Tracking corrective actions to completion
  • Recommends policy and procedures changes for process improvements to the Director of Safety (DOS)
  • Assists in developing and maintaining policies and procedures for Safety Assurance, utilizing information from other operations groups, FAA, IATA, IOSA, other agencies, and workshops to enhance Safety Assurance.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalency required
  • Training and/or experience in recognized quality management auditing
  • Training and/or experience in Root Cause Assessment (RCA)
  • Training and/or experience in risk assessment
  • Training and/or experience in evaluation principles and techniques
  • Experience with Flight Operations, lnflight Services, Maintenance & Engineering, cargo, security and Hazmat preferred
  • Familiar with database management
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite
