Description:This position is for an experienced Competitive Intelligence / Position-To-Win (CI/PTW) analyst who can work with various types of technology, product offerings and contract types to determine price and non-price targets the company should bid in order to win a competitive opportunity. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a track record of demonstrated behaviors that inform and influence senior leadership.

Candidates must have proposal, capture team, and competitive intelligence collection and assessment experience. Understanding the entire capture cycle is essential. Must be able to work simultaneously on multiple highly visible projects and reprioritize as new opportunities come up.

The Principal Positioning-to-Win Analyst must be able to present concise analysis and recommendations to capture team members and senior leadership. For this reason excellent team and communication skills as well as comfort with ambiguity are essential. The successful candidate will demonstrate ability to develop detailed knowledge of customer buying patterns, competitor bid tendencies, and assess competitor technical/business strategies and capabilities and the resulting impact on pricing. Tasks require knowledge and understanding of current technology, engineering disciplines, and analysis of competitor bidding and pricing strategies. Other skills are planning and implementing competitive intelligence and cost modeling.

In addition to the primary duties, the Principal Positioning-to-Win Analyst will support Black Hat reviews, Customer Value Proposition Workshops and will provide proposal team support when needed; CI/PTW thought leadership and mentorship of less experienced analysts is also expected.

Must have ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

THIS ROLE IS OPEN TO VIRTUAL CANDIDATES BUT LOCATION /RELOCATION TO THE DFW AREA IS DESIRED.

  • Strong Communication, Analytical, and Leadership skills
  • Extensive prior experience in Position-To-Win
  • Extensive prior experience in Competitive Intelligence and Analysis
  • Broad knowledge of financial strategies
  • Extensive New Business Capture experience
  • Strategic thinking
  • Aerospace and Defense industry knowledge
  • Research and Analytical skills, demonstrated ability to think critically
  • Computer proficiency including Excel, PowerPoint, Share Point
  • Track record of Successful Performance
  • Must have ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

  • Military experience

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
