Job description
St. John Regional Catholic School located in Frederick, Maryland, is seeking a full-time Instructional Assistant to assist teachers in a First Grade classroom. This position is responsible for assisting the teacher in supporting delivery of lessons, small group reinforcement, and other aspects of classroom preparation and organization.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work under the direction of the classroom teacher to implement instruction in concert with the school's mission and vision
- Support classroom management using school-wide positive behavior intervention and support (PBIS) standards
- Participate in the active supervision of students at all times, including outside duties such as morning drop off/pick up as needed
- Assist students with remedial and re-teaching activities
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree preferred
- Knowledge of child development and supervision
- Knowledge of the Catholic faith preferred
