Based in Southern California with locations in Malibu, Calabasas and Camarillo; HRL has been on the leading edge of technology, conducting pioneering research and advancing the state of the art.

The Supervisor, Information Technology (Special Program) manages a cross functional team of experienced IT Systems Administrators and is responsible for the successful delivery of IT services in classified programs. Deep technological expertise with a wide range of IT disciplines is a must. The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader, teaming with multiple organizations and managing the relationship between IT and program management.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position is a highly technical supervisory position, responsible for people and operational management.

Essential Duties:
Work directly with program staff to ensure Information Technology infrastructure solutions meet the program requirements and schedules
Perform hands-on technical tasks across a multi-disciplined range of technical systems and application activities
Team building, employee coaching, and staff development to effectively lead in a cross-functional environment with shifting priorities and requirements
Management and execution of internal SLAs
Strong technical background and ability in order to provide detailed guidance and direction to the team
Confidently interface with senior management, research management, and business unit leaders
Multitask in a dynamic environment; develop solutions to various complex problems and plan, schedule, and prioritize tasks

Required Skills:
7+ years of technical hands-on IT Service Management and Systems Administration
Experience leading IT professionals at various levels
Superior leadership, people development, and organizational skills
Excellent judgment and solid decision-making
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong writing, reporting, and analytical skills
Strong understanding of Risk Management Framework (RMF), including NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, ICD 503, JSIG, and/or CNSSI 1253
Experience working with virtualized systems (e.g., VMWare)
Experience architecting, designing, and implementing a DevOps infrastructure for a program
Experience working within multi-disciplinary teams to resolve business impacting computing issues
Experience maintaining and operating a Citrix Virtual Desktop Infrastructure
Experience with High Performance Computing (HPC) applications and frameworks
Strong understanding of standardized network protocols and services
Strong understanding of multiplatform system hardening (e.g., DISA STIG, SCAP, CS2)

Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related technical discipline
DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certification (CompTIA Security+, CySA+, etc.)

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Special Requirements:
This position is 100% on-site. Responsibilities sometimes require working evenings and weekends, and in some cases, with little to no advance notice. This position will require up to 15% travel.
Must be a US Citizen. In-scope TS/SCI security clearance with Full Scope Polygraph is required.

Compensation:
The base salary range for this full-time position is $101,000 - $168,000 + bonus + benefits.
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. ยง 120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
