General Description:
In the Office of the Registrar, the primary responsibility of the Information Systems Specialist, Associate in the Document Management Center will be responsible for using document management and technological knowledge to support, train, document, and write applications at a technical professional level for routine to complex document management related reports, which are generated for a central or localized administrative system by using complex database applications.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure documents from various databases are successfully migrated to our system of record by developing and maintaining internal controls and reports to ensure data integrity. Monitor various automated import processes to ensure they are running properly.
- Plan, develop, implement, maintain, and improve various imports using all available resources. Coordinate and track resolutions to system issues by contacting appropriate staff members (DBA’s, functional leads, and system administrators).
- Point of contact for internal customers for document management system issues. Direct and provide reports to coworkers to correct errors.
- Provide and maintain reports for the university customers. Develop reports using various reporting tools to create reports for customer needs. Update reports as requested by customers. Evaluates end-user requests for new or modified computer reports.
- Converts project specifications into logical computer codes or processes to databases. Performs routine to complex data analysis and data reporting with various programming tools, such as ARGOS. Structured Query Language (SQL)/Procedural Language Structured Query Language (PL SQL).
- Assist managers with effectively utilizing data from reports. Reviews, updates, and edits reports and data extracts. Tests, documents, and performs quality assurance on generated reports.
- Coordinate quality assurance measures by creating a systematic method of checking documents for quality and accuracy of images and indexes. Evaluates end-user requests for new or modified computer reports. Generate and disperse quality assurance reports.
Minimum Hiring Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and one year of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
