Position Summary:

The Information Systems Analyst is responsible for coordinating and directing technical systems and staff

This position will supervise the daily operations of policy and procedures, overseeing full-time employees, as well as monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness and productivity of the technical operations. Provides leadership and sets goals for the services unit under the general direction of the Associate Director of Financial Aid and Technical Operations of Financial Aid & Scholarships. Collaborate across departments for effective and accurate service to students and families

This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy

Duties & Responsibilities:

Supervisor: of Operational Staff
Oversees: Supervision and reconciliation of the Federal Direct Loan Program
Research and Statistics: Evaluates and produce statistical data for all programs
Manage: Coordinates, manage, and reports for all ADHE programs
Responsible: Updating and monitoring dotCMS system
Customer Service Representative: Provides assistance and other resources to potential and current students, parents, staff, faculty, off-campus agencies, and high school counselors
Fund Management: Oversee the processing and balancing of scholarship programs
Reporting: Prepare and present institutional annual reports, create reports and population selections from Banner
Processing: all institutional scholarships automation procedures
Technical: Provide technical support for Financial Aid, Scholarships, and recruitment divisions
Monitor: Monitoring exemptions, third-party billing, and rectifying over awards
Training: Provide continuing education for all regulatory, institutional, and state changes
Administrative: Work closely with other Enrollment Services departments, such as Undergraduate Admissions and the Registrar
Develop, implement, maintain, and revise policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all laws, rules, and regulations
Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Knowledge of student financial aid programs, standards, and procedures
Knowledge of counseling and interview techniques
Knowledge of operating procedures for technical equipment and systems including office hardware and software
Knowledge of basic programming logic (SQL)

Excellent communication skills

Ability to supervise employees
Ability to interpret laws, guidelines, and regulations pertaining to Financial Aid and Scholarships assistance
Ability to review and evaluate student financial needs
Ability to maintain records
Ability to analyze existing programs, procedures, and queries in ERP-Banner-system

Experience with Microsoft Office Products
Experience in web-based technology and demonstrated use of technology in the delivery of financial aid services
Familiarity with SCT Banner Products

General Days/Hours:

Monday – Friday
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Additional hours as requested and/or needed
Some travel required for training and/or conferences
Regular and reliable attendance

Minimum Qualifications:

An earned Bachelor's Degree with a major in a technology related field

Three (3) years of experience in related area, including one (1) year in a supervisory capacity
