S ummary The Information Security Analyst I is responsible for assisting with the implementation of information security policies, procedures, standards, technical safeguards, and solutions identified to mitigate or reduce business exposure to information security risks. This position, as part of the Incident Response Team, will assist in monitoring, detecting, and responding to information security events.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to help bank employees gauge risk and implement safety standards and best practices.
  • Develop and document processes and procedures on information security to be followed by both ISO and non-ISO employees.
  • Prepare reports of corporate information, security incidents or events and the extent of the damage caused if applicable.
  • Conduct testing of simulated cyber-attacks to look for vulnerabilities in the computer systems and address them as needed.
  • Assist in the assessment of security incidents or risks, gathers needed information, and find appropriate solutions.
  • Assist in analyzing processes and recommend improvements based on foundational knowledge.
  • Assist in managing projects and implementations with supervision.
  • Administer, monitor, and maintain security architecture technology solutions with supervision.
  • Monitor network, systems, and logs for events that could negatively impact the confidentiality, integrity, or availability of bank systems and data. Investigate and respond to all potential incidents in accordance with prescribed procedures.
  • Facilitate periodic risk assessments, penetration tests, and vulnerability assessments and make security enhancement recommendations to management.
  • Research, evaluate and recommend information-security-related hardware and software to maintain a strong security posture, including developing business cases for security investments.
  • Other duties and/or projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:
  • One or more of the following certifications: GSEC, CEH, Security+, or similar.
  • 1-2 years working in an information security operations center with knowledge or experience in threat monitoring, and incident management.
  • Hands-on experience working with security information and event management tools.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university, preferably in a business or IT-related field or one to three years experience in Information Security or Information Technology; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Banking knowledge/experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge of security architecture technology solutions such as firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), vulnerability scanning and management, anti-virus management, certificate management, and data loss prevention (DLP).
  • Knowledge of computers, networks and systems and skills with an understanding of security controls.

Computer Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with event monitoring and industry security tools.

Physical Demands While:
Performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
