Tiny City Academy is looking for a Toddler teacher to join our committed team of educators:

JOB SUMMARY

The teacher will be responsible for the daily planning, management, and supervision of the classroom and children.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Ensure that appearance, cleanliness, and safe environment of classroom are appropriately maintained.
• Complete all academy and classroom paperwork. For example: daily updates on our app, student accident reports, and lesson planning.
• Attend and participate in staff meetings, academy events, and parent meetings, as requested.
• Assist and supervise children during all activities. Counsel children when social, academic, or adjustment problems arise.
• Diapering students every 2 hours and working on potty training.
• Implement classroom lesson plans, program, and schedule.
• Develop, plan, and prepare instructional aids / materials for classroom activities.
• Assist children with mealtimes and clean-up.
• Physically arrange the classroom into well-defined interest areas.
• Direct activities of other staff in the classroom to ensure that the classroom functions in an orderly manner.
• Communicate appropriate information to parents; maintain developmental profiles for children.
• Maintain family information board and other classroom bulletin boards.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $14.00 to $18.00 /hour

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

• Sterling, VA 20166: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience:

• Early childhood education: 1 year (Preferred)
• Childcare: 1 year (Preferred)
• Experience with children: 1 year (Preferred)
• Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
