Job Description: Housekeeping Coordinator (5S)
Duration: 4–6-month assignment
Time requirements: 40 hours/week
Pay rate: $18.00 - $22.00, DOE.

Shift: Generally, day shift, but there will be some need to work on evenings on occasion to meet with operators to explain the program and track performance
Hours: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Hours are somewhat flexible.
Skills: High school diploma required. Pass a background check and drug test. Prefer 2- or 4-year college degree. Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with others. Strong conflict resolution skills. Self-starter. We are seeking a high energy individual.
Duties:
- Learn the 5S process for housekeeping (available on-line).
- Working with site management, breakdown the site into 4-8 defined areas. Select appropriate owners for each area.
- Take “Before” photographs of each area
- Prepare a schedule to roll-out all elements of 5S across each area, beginning in the Management Office area.
- Order “Red Tags”. Develop tracking system for Red Tags and maintain the Red Tag log.
- With site management, recommend appropriate disposal for Red Tag items deemed no longer necessary (sale, disposal).
- Issue written and verbal communications to each area as appropriate (meetings, email, posters, etc.) and ensure everyone in the area is actively aware of the housekeeping program. Communication needs to be constant and consistent.
- Identify problem areas and escalate issues/concerns to site management as needed.
- Develop simple housekeeping scoring process and post site wide metrics.
- Communicate status on a weekly/monthly basis to the site leadership team
