An Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, maintains production and facility equipment to meet the operational business needs within a Distribution Center environment

WHAT WILL BE YOUR PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES?

• Assists the team by performing repairs, modifications, and preventative maintenance on a wide variety of equipment found in a heavy industrial environment.
• Provide maintenance support for the facility and operations
• Provide support for equipment such as, automated conveyor systems, vision systems, semi-automated palletizers, various semi/auto packaging machines, industrial air compressors, HVAC systems, and more
• Assists in the relocation of machines/fixtures, materials, and equipment as required.
• Assist in machine changeover to support production
• Utilizes machine/facility schematics, diagrams, and specifications to provide effective resolution.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, re-build and repair all plant equipment consisting of, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and minor electrical devices.
• Fabrication and/or repairs such as, the construction of guards, ducting, spouts, etc.
• Ability to weld
• Requires thorough knowledge of the functions and operations of all plant/facility equipment and machinery to provide for effective operation and a safe environment.
• Ability to use the tools and measuring devices common to the Maintenance Mechanic's Trade

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in similar work environment and responsibilities is required. Journey-level card in a mechanical or trade or equivalent Trade/Vocational education is preferred.
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Working knowledge of electricity, welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical functions
• Self-motivated with the ability to function in a team environment as well as working independently as required
• Willingness and the ability to train, instruct, and mentors others.
• Ability to work independently with little or no supervision as well as positively contribute to a team environment
• Perform all work timely as required according to Company safety policies, recognized industry standards, and always follow what is known to be safe practices
