The Applications Engineer will report to the Engineering Manager and work closely with Sales Team (CCO and Regional Account Managers)

About EcoVapor
EcoVapor Recovery Systems is a growing Denver, Colorado, based firm applying innovative engineering to develop technology and products that solve critical emission control problems in the oilfield and other emissions-generating industries. EcoVapor designs fully packaged turn-key systems which may include many third-party components combined with custom engineered pressure vessels, control panels and other mechanical components. With four patents granted by the USPTO and others pending both domestically and internationally, EcoVapor prioritizes creation and protection of intellectual property.

As a dynamic, learning organization that operates in the changing landscape of emissions, regulations, and ESG, EcoVapor has recently introduced new products in 2020 and have more slated for 2021. EcoVapor is looking for the right individual who can assist with integrating EcoVapor products with a variety of customers and different types of facilities.

Job Overview
The Applications Engineer will work as a collaborative bridge between the end user and EcoVapor’s Sales, Supply Chain and Engineering teams. This person will use customer input, application information, and sales information to size and/or customize existing product lines to ensure proper fit with the client’s applications. Must be able to objectively analyze application performance and effectively implement necessary changes or modifications to product version to fit application need.

Leverage familiarity with the industry, EcoVapor products, and supply chain to quickly generate cost and lead time estimates, so that Sales can generate proposals.

Potential to aid in the design and development of new products by introducing client / performance feedback with Engineering Manager and Engineering Team. Applications Engineers also provide technical support and expertise to customers, responding to customer feedback, and are responsible for technical documentation of product fit within application boundaries.

Primary Location
EcoVapor Headquarters located in Downtown Denver, Colorado

Secondary Locations
To support product deployment and commissioning, occasional travel within the USA should be expected. Texas, New Mexico, North Dakota, and other states. Overnight travel expected to be less than 20% (trips to fabricators, packagers, vendors, new product deployments, in-field troubleshooting.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assist Sales Team in clearly communicating technical data and applicability of EcoVapor Products with customers
  • Determine project constraints including estimated time and costs
  • Act as resident technological expert advisor for EcoVapor products
  • Connect with customers to analyze user experience and gain constructive feedback
  • Analyze and edit existing product versions to improve functionality and optimize performance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required. Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Design degree preferred
  • Strong customer service skills required
  • Adept and effective communicator, especially with technical information – written and oral
  • Familiarity with electrical/mechanical/process systems, preferably in the oil and gas industry
  • Hands-on field experience preferred
  • Experience with pressure vessels, rotating equipment, process piping, valve selection
  • Ability to apply familiarity with fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, heat transfer towards system design optimization
  • Familiarity with circuit design, NEC, automation, control panel design and troubleshooting
  • Experience in, or ability to adapt to a small team environment where team members must exhibit flexibility and team-oriented behavior in close working relationships
  • Ability to work sometimes unusual hours to meet deadlines

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
