FULL-TIME HP INDIGO DIGITAL PRINT / SMALL PRESS OPERATOR (various shifts available)

Operate HP Indigo Digital Presses, as well as Small Conventional Press finishing (UV, Coating, Die-Cutting). Cross train on Digital Wide Format Equipment, Flatbed Cutting and Routing equipment.

Responsible for:

o Review of job instructions and preparation of Job materials for printing, using Kirkwood’s MIS System.

o Meet daily print job production schedules and/or shipping deadlines.

o Monitor quality of job output for correctness, layout, and image or print quality.

o Set up, operate, and adjust the equipment, and in addition, diagnose, solve, and correct operating problems affecting the quality and timeliness of the service or product or function.

o Typically, corrective adjustments performed require the operator to consider the symptom(s), possible causes and remedies and troubleshoot accordingly.

o Equipment Maintenance (includes workspace cleanliness, and organization)

o Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

o Computer Skills using general PC software.

o Requires a thorough knowledge (previous operator experience) of printing press equipment set up, adjustment, operating procedures, and a corresponding level of skill to set up, operate, and adjust the equipment.

o Ability to multi-task.

o Able to problem solve while working independently.

o Able to lift and move 50 pounds or more repeatedly.

o Able to stand for 8 hours.

o Ability to read, write and perform math operations.

o Ability to distinguish colors accurately.

o Ability to apply written and verbal instructions for machine set-up.

o Good interpersonal and organizational skills.

o Ability to interact and guide crew members.

o Must demonstrate reliability through attendance, punctuality, and ability to stay in work area.

o Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.

o Ability to work overtime as needed.
