Job description

As a caregiver, you improve the quality of life and serve those in need of care. Your goal will be to help the member enjoy life by helping them perform their simple daily functions, such as transfers, bathing, dressing, grooming, etc.

Hours: 5 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Wage: $18/hr

Schedule: Schedule will be made with member. Once made, be able to set firm boundaries with member.

Experience – Experience with members in wheelchairs encouraged to apply

Skills –We’re looking for individuals that are compassionate, but able to set firm boundaries with member. Someone who has tough skin and able to maintain those boundaries.

Characteristics –Candidates with criminal backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply!

Duties for Member:

• Transfers from bed to wheelchair (as needed)
• Baths (Showers if wiling to assist)
• Make sure member has water, food, computer, phone, etc. if being left alone
• House keeping (member’s room area and just cleaning up after yourself!)
• Urinal change/ Bowel routine
• Skin care
• Bed sheets/towels changed and laundry (as needed)

*Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and pass a criminal background check

*Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation

*If hired, Consumer Direct Care Network (CDCN) will not be your legal employer on record. If hired by a member or their Managing Party, your legal employer on record would be the Member. CDCN’s role is to assist the Member or Managing Party in recruiting a Direct Care Worker. The Member or Managing Party has the sole authority to hire or dismiss any potential Direct Care Worker.
