The Implementation & Training Specialist will lead the development and execution of implementation plans specific to key ASSA ABLOY software solution clients. In addition, the Software Implementation & Training Specialist will facilitate and deliver training classes to ASSA ABLOY clients both virtually and in person and be responsible for actively pursuing additional training opportunities that will reduce support requirements while also increasing customer satisfaction with the use of ASSA ABLOY software solutions.

What you will be doing as Implementation & Training Specialist

• Become expert in the purpose, features and functions of complex software applications and how they are intended to be used by ASSA ABLOY clients.
• Engage with clients to understand their business needs, software technology maturity and workflows.
• Understand where ASSA ABLOY software solutions can improve a client’s business.
• Document and propose an end-to-end implementation plan that results in a client realizing the benefits of ASSA ABLOY software solutions and increasing the potential sales of ASSA ABLOY products.
• Lead the implementation for ASSA ABLOY clients from the initial meeting through to final sign-off of a client’s adoption of the application and hand-off to Support.
• Create project plans as required with associated Statement of Work to define the project scope.
• Determine resources and timelines required to mitigate risks and successfully deliver the project.
• Effectively communicate project status to appropriate stakeholders including any problems or potential project delays.
• Manage client expectations and ensure completed projects meet committed Service Level Agreements.
• Be and be seen as a valuable consultative resource for clients in terms of both training engagements and project implementations
• Work with management to define repeatable processes, templates and methods for establishing end-to-end implementation plans.
• Assess internal and external customer training needs; maintain training records.
• Plan, prepare, and schedule necessary training.
• Organize and promote courses.
• Develop and deliver programs of learning activities.
• Prepare teaching/course materials.
• Work closely with Training Manager to review and approve content delivery.
• Instruct users on an individual or group basis by in person or web training
• new technologies to deliver courses and improve the learning experience for users (e.g., YouTube channel, web training, training videos, etc.).
• Assess training effectiveness and provide areas for improvement to the Training Manager.
• Look for ways to maximize training time and overall training experience for software application users.
• Provide customer feedback to the Training Manager and software development team.

What we are looking for

To be successful as Software Implementation & Training Specialist, you will need the following qualifications:

• Must have experience in project management, sales, training and or support of strategic customers in the area of software solutions.
• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the Door and Hardware or Construction Industry.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work well with people at all levels both internally and with external clients are essential. Strong organizational, planning, and motivational skills are required. Ability to set up and use audiovisual equipment is required. Knowledge of and experience with presentation software is necessary. Experience with Word, Excel and PowerPoint are required.
• Project Management certifications are a plus.
• Position is based in Phoenix, AZ, but leading candidates may be considered for working remotely.
• Must be willing to travel extensively to perform activities associated with client engagements for training and implementations.
