IDD Home Coach / Shared Living Manager
Full-Time, Salary: $50,000

GoodLife Innovations is seeking a Home Coach / Shared Living Manager to manage a family-style residential program for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and provide support to shared-living providers. As a Home Coach / Shared Living Manager, you will oversee all aspects of a residential program, including establishing and maintaining positive relationships with persons served and direct support staff, coaching new staff, serving as a role model, and spearheading critical administrative functions. You will also support Professional Family Teachers (PFTs) who welcome adults with disabilities into their own homes and provide person-centered, integrated family support (similar to foster care). Some duties include:
  • Promoting high quality outcomes for persons served by training, supporting, and supervising staff
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of individualized daily schedules for the home and persons served on your caseload
  • Facilitating budget compliance with oversight of the house and client accounts
  • Ensuring strong, effective communication and teamwork within assigned homes, between direct staff, and other direct or support services
  • Hands on work with our persons served when necessary
  • Providing PFT contractors ongoing and consistent support and training
Some qualifications:
  • One - two years of prior experience in a position of similar scope preferred
  • A Bachelor's degree in psychology, human development or a related discipline, preferred
  • A desire to lead and mentor a team of staff
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility in assigned working hours and weekend on-call rotation
  • A valid Driver's License and safe driving record
