South Mountain Creamery has immediate openings for Ice Cream Scoopers at our Downtown Frederick location!
Our retail team is the face of everything South Mountain Creamery stands for. From scooping ice cream to making delicious milkshakes, the team makes each visit to the store something special.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Greeting and interacting with customers and coworkers in a friendly and professional manner
- Completing sales transactions efficiently
- Performing opening and closing duties based on schedule
- Maintaining product knowledge
- Scooping ice cream & making our signature sandwiches
- Keeping the store clean and well-stocked
- Completing paperwork properly and
- Other duties as assigned
The right person has:
- Retail or food experience (not required, but definitely a plus)
- Capacity to troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate o issues that may arise
- A High School Diploma or equivalent
- The motivation to work in a team environment - safely
- A detail-oriented mindset

Work is performed in a store setting; you must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while working safely and efficiently. This position requires the incumbent to remain on their feet all day and lift roughly 30lbs (intermittently) from ground level to waist high using proper lifting techniques.
The schedule for this position is based on store needs and rotates. Weekends, morning, and evening hours are necessary.
