Elite Aviation is hiring an aircraft mechanic for our general aviation service organization. Our service personnel provide high quality diagnostics and repair of piston aircraft for customers as well as maintaining the flight school fleet, predominately Cessna 172s. Requirements:

  • Current FAA IA Certificate
  • Valid US driver’s license.
  • Background check.
  • Initial and periodic/random drug and alcohol screen.
  • Efficient and safe work ethic.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for team and customer relations.
  • Personal aircraft maintenance tools in good working order.
  • Compliance with company policy, manufacturer specifications, and FAA regulations including documentation of such.
  • Perform all duties with integrity, professionalism, and self motivation.

Preferences:

  • General Aviation experience—piston powerplant and airframe.
  • General Aviation avionics and electrical experience.

Responsibilities included but not limited to:

  • Airframe, Powerplant, and Propeller periodic and special inspections, repairs, and modifications.
  • Aircraft systems troubleshooting, diagnosis and parts requisitioning.
  • Utilize and interpret technical publications: maintenance manuals, parts catalog, airworthiness directive, and service bulletins.
  • Compliance with all documentation including completion of work orders, logbook entries, and return to service records.
  • Utilize Total FBO software, Flight Schedule Pro, Word, Excel, email platforms and other pertinent software.
  • Hangar upkeep and cleaning to include an organized work station and equipment management.
  • Complete and maintain security requirements as dictated by the FAA, Spirit of St. Louis Airport, and Elite Aviation.
  • Tow and taxi aircraft.
  • Work in conjunction with FOM of flight school to support overall operating plan.
  • Mange decision making and time efficiently and with regard to safety.
  • Work independently and in collaboration with other maintenance personnel.
  • Attend to fiscally responsible practice regarding budget and time use.

Pay: IA $62,400+ depending on experience.
