JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:

Our HVAC Technicians play an important roles in keeping HVAC equipment up and running in industries such as manufacturing, healthcare, chemical, utilities, contractors, and entertainment. The HVAC Technician will troubleshoot, repair, overhaul, change components, and perform maintenance on air conditioners, chillers, heaters, cooling towers and related equipment in permanent and portable applications.

COMPETENCIES LIST:

• Knowledge of HVAC equipment.
• A/C / Refrigerant certified
• Mechanical and mathematical aptitude.
• The ability to read and understand schematics, service manuals, and repair diagrams.
• The ability to lift and carry 60+ pound components, stand for extended periods, climb onto vehicles, and work in tight enclosures.
• Able to write accurate and descriptive service reports when jobs are completed.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• A High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• A two-year degree from a recognized HVAC Tech School will be preferred.
• Three plus years working with DX (Direct Expansion) Air Conditioning Systems and chilled water systems.
• HVAC Certification: Ability to evacuate and charge refrigerant systems.
• Experience with electronic controls is preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to lift and/or carry moderate weight (15-50 pounds), sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, reach, repetitive hand motions, hear, speak, some travel within the area and occasionally outside the area, may experience prolonged and irregular work hours, and work with frequent interruptions. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
