The LFS Group is looking for experienced HVAC Start-up Technicians to work in the field on new commercial installations! The HVAC Start-up Technician must be able to properly startup, diagnose and repair issues on various types of commercial and industrial HVAC equipment. You will be responsible for maintaining an open, positive, and professional line of communication with customers, vendors, general contractors, internal customers and trade partners.

Job Responsibilities (LIST IS NOT INCLUSIVE):

• Startup and test equipment on commercial and industrial facilities
• Installing, maintaining, and repairing heating ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment
• Log all startup information and service work orders into company provided iPad
• Meet equipment startup deadlines and inform Service Manager of any issues
• Maintain inventory and cleanliness of company provided vehicle
• Follow all safety rules and procedures of Company and General Contractors
• Cleaning, adjusting, and maintaining HVAC systems
• Provide technical direction and on the job training to customers
• Must be able to work after hours, weekends with short notice
• Must demonstrate proficiency and knowledge of air duct distribution systems, commercial and industrial.
• Know relevant building codes, current legislation, regulations, policies and procedures for the installation and maintenance of systems.

Required Qualifications:

• Extensive knowledge of HVAC equipment function and operations
• Ability to properly braze copper refrigerant piping
• Proficient in reading schematics and mechanical prints
• Air duct distribution systems in commercial and industrial
• Relevant policies and procedures of installation and maintenance
• Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults on HVAC systems
• Ability to safely work at elevations such as roofs, scissor lifts and ladders
• Excellent written, verbal and listening interpersonal skills
• Ability to work cooperatively with other trades
• Time management skills
• Familiar with Building Automation Systems
• EPA Certification
• Must be able to travel to other site locations as required
• OSHA 10 Certification Preferred
• Must meet MVR requirements in order to be added to the Company's Auto Insurance Policy

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift 50 Lbs. consistently.
• Climb, kneel, twist upper body, reach, stretch and stand for incremental periods of time.
• Work indoors and outdoors, sometimes inclement weather.
• Must be able to climb up to 40 ft on roof access ladders.
• Be able to carry 35lb tool bag throughout large job sites.
• Must be able to climb eleven (11) sets of stairs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
