About the Role
An excellent opportunity has a risen for a full time, permanent HR Officer in the Department of Chemistry. Reporting to the HR Team Leader, you will be working with three other HR Officers in a high activity department. The role involves providing an HR service for specific allocated groups within the Department, building effective working relationships with the Principal Investigators and their staff, performing and overseeing end to end processes in relation to the co-ordination of recruitment, from application stage through to appointment and induction. You will provide generalist HR administration and support, overseeing work permit information for the department and providing policy assistance in relation to the University’s processes and procedures.
About You
You will have previous HR generalist experience, ideally gained within a Higher Education environment. You will have excellent communications skills, and the ability to build strong and effective working relationships with a range of people. The role requires high levels of accuracy and attention to detail and you will need to be well organised and able to manage your time effectively to meet deadlines. You will have good IT skills using Microsoft Office, and you will ideally have knowledge of Oracle based HR systems.

Although this post is full time, we would be willing to appoint at 80% FTE spread over a minimum of four days a week.

The post is located at the Inorganic Chemistry Laboratory, Department of Chemistry, South Parks Road, Oxford and we would be happy to discuss hybrid working arrangements.
