Senspex in Rio Rancho, New Mexico is seeking to hire a proactive, motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist for its Albuquerque location. The Human Resources Generalist is critical to the success of our missions and responsible for thoroughly checking materials, procedures, and mechanical or electrical systems to ensure that our customers receive high-quality, products.

What you'll get to do as a Human Resources Generalist at Senspex:

  • Conduct and administer all recruiting and hiring efforts such as preparing, posting and maintaining job descriptions and job postings, applicant screening, contacting candidates for interviews, scheduling interviews, participating in interviews and the applicant selection processes, and contacting applicants regarding their application status
  • Perform benefits administration to include, but not limited to, working with benefits broker on establishing affordable company-sponsored benefit plans, acting as liaison for claims resolution, and conducting enrollments/terminations for health, disability, and retirement plans
  • Benchmark wages and assists in maintaining the company's compensation program for fair and equal pay, and to maintain a competitive advantage relevant to industry and company size
  • Ensure company compliance with applicable employment laws, including but not limited to, labor law postings and employment policies
  • Manage all changes affecting payroll along with preparing weekly payroll changes report for accounting
  • Perform employee relations duties such as, but not limited to, answering employee questions regarding benefits, policies, and other HR-related questions, handling employee complaints, refereeing/mediating disputes, terminating employees, assisting supervisors with disciplinary procedures and corrective actions, and documenting issues, concerns and/or potential legal matters

The qualifications we require from you:

  • Bachelor's degree or actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in a relevant business discipline from an accredited university; or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
  • 3+ years direct experience

The qualifications we'd like to have from you:

  • Experience in small business highly preferred
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant tracking systems
  • Prior experience working in an ISO 9001:2015 certified business, federal contracting or an engineering/manufacturing environment is highly preferred
  • Motivated to work effectively in a fast-paced, changing environment where a high degree of flexibility is expected
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) or related software
  • Strong oral, written and presentation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Reliable, flexible, detailed, and self-sufficient in carrying out job responsibilities
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Other Requirements:

  • Proactive and detail-oriented with a strong team-oriented attitude
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work within the United States
  • Must possess acceptable forms of identification under the REAL ID Act
  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background and drug test
  • This position may require obtaining a U.S. DoD national security clearance. Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance in order to work on projects/programs
